Fees &
Benefit Coverage

Session Fees:

Base rate (Fall 2024): 160.00 / clinical hour

Rates based on client's ability to pay and access to benefit coverage. Each 60 minute appointment includes: 50 minutes in session, 10 minutes for clinical note completion after your visit. Reduced rates may be offered to a small number of clients who demonstrate financial need. Rates are otherwise non-negotiable.

Behind the scenes, fees include my involvement in clinical supervision/consultation, professional development and training and time put into session planning.

No shows or late cancellations may be charged 100% of appointment fee. Please provide 48+ hours notice if you are unable to attend your appointment. Exceptions will be made if you are ill or for other extenuating circumstances on a case by case basis

E-transfer and credit card accepted.

Non-Insured Health Benefits for First Nations and Inuit:

I am an approved provider through the Non-Insured Health Benefits program for Indigenous people. If you are a status card holder who is not currently seeing a different NIHB provider for mental health counselling, you will qualify for this program. This program allows me to apply for funding from Health Canada and then bill directly to the NIHB program on your behalf. NIHB does not fund missed appointments and clients are responsible for clearing any missed appointment fees.

Two or more late cancellations or no shows can result in termination of services. Clients are encouraged to reach back out when they are feeling more ready if this is the case. Contact me directly for more information on the NIHB program.

Extended Health Benefits Coverage:

I am a Registered Social Worker with a clinical orientation who practices psychotherapy. Registered Social Workers are often covered by extended health benefits through employers.

Take a look at your benefit coverage package to see what you may be covered for and ensure that services will be reimbursed prior to beginning services. All payments are non-refundable. After providing payment, a receipt will be provided that can be used for reimbursement from your benefit company.

Direct billing may be available through Telus Health E-Claims if you have coverage for social work services. Please let your therapist know if you intend on using direct billing prior to your first session. Clients are responsible for covering any denied claims or remaining balances not covered by your insurer. Telus E-Claims currently has the ability to bill directly with the following insurers:
